SLC Outdoor Retailer SkiMo Race

The Dorais bro's organized a great race coinciding with the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market.  The race was held at Solitude Ski Resort.  75 racers lined up at the starting line.  Jason Dorais took the early lead and held on for an impressive victory. The course was 5 laps and included a tight skin-track through the trees, a steep bootpack and a fast, hair-raising descent.  My Scarpa Aliens and Worldcup SkiTrab skis handled everything the course dished out.  It was exciting to meet SkiTrab founder, Adriano Trabucchi and having him cheer for his North American team.

Tom Goth breaking both skis and a pole 30 seconds into the race.
