There are no established trails in the Brooks Range (with the exception of Caribou/Big Horn Sheep trails.) My Scarpa Sparks successfully held up through multiple creek crossings, tundra hiking, peak bagging, Arctic river wading and rocky riverbed traverses.

Spark A Lightweight Revolution

The new, multi-award winning Spark is the first addition in our new trail running range, it utilises compression moulded EVA sole unit technology but in a light ‘Mountain Minimalist’ package. The new Speedlite sole unit comprises of an EVA midsole with a 6mm drop from the heel to the toe which creates a natural movement from heel strike to take off increasing shock absorption and helping to reduce fatigue. An additional EVA layer has been added across the forefoot to reduce stretching meaning that as your shoe ages it will retain it’s underfoot support. The outsole features a dedicated braking zone and Helix lugs which provide multi-directional grip. The Spark is topped with an ultra light polyester mesh upper which reduces weight and maximises breathability as well as a synthetic rand which adds low profile protection for your foot on rough terrain.
